Why is my recipient stuck in a pending status?
This usually means that the envelope has a signing order set. When an envelope has a signing order set, it means that recipients are required to complete their roles in a specific sequence.
If a recipient has a higher signing order number, it indicates that they need to wait for the recipients with lower signing order numbers to complete their actions first.
Once the preceding recipients have fulfilled their roles, the affected recipient will receive an email notification for the envelope.
For instance, if the recipient's signing order is set to 3, they will receive the email only after recipients with signing orders 1 and 2 have completed their actions.
