Why are some document fields left unfilled by my recipients?

Usually, certain document fields are left blank after it's been completed because the fields were not set as Required.

If a field is not required, recipients can complete an envelope without entering anything to the field.

Once you've added a field to a document, additional options will become available on the right-hand side of the page.

To ensure that the recipients populate a field when signing your documents, make sure the Required toggle is turned on.
