Sending from your own domain

At Annature, we understand the importance of adding a personal touch to your messages.

By default, email sent from Annature come from noreply@annature.com.au.

Enhance your communication by sending envelopes directly from your email domain. This can also help if you find emails to your recipients are often heading to their spam inbox.

Follow the steps to set up sending envelopes from your email domain.

1. Add your domain

To get started, navigate to Settings > Sending Domains.

Click Create sending domain.

A new window will appear, enter the Username (prefix) you wish to send from and the domain. The username can be anything you like, for example noreply, hello, documents, etc.

After that, click Create.

Your new domain will show in the Sending domains page inside of Annature, follow the next steps to verify the domain.

2. Add DNS records

Now that we have created the domain in Annature, we now need to add DNS records which allows Annature to send emails from your domain.

Open your domain from the Annature dashboard press open and you will be presented with a set of DNS records that will need to be added in your domains DNS settings.

Copy and paste the records exactly as shown in Annature into your domains DNS settings.

Note that these are unique per domain.

3. Verify records

Once DNS records have been added in your DNS settings, we need to verify ownership.

After creating the records, click Check Records to verify their status. If everything is correct, the status will display as verified. Some records may take up to 24 hours to propagate, check back later if some records are still missing.

Once all records have been verified, your new domain will now show verified and ready.

4. Assign domain to organisation and groups

Now that you have verified your domain, you will need to assign it to the organisation or specific groups. For the organisation, go to Settings > Organisation and Branding and select your new domain from the dropdown.

To assign a sending domain to a particular group, go to Settings > Groups and clicking Open on the group you want to assign the domain to.

Select the sending domain you wish to use under the sending domain dropdown.
