Adjusting Envelope Link Expiry for Better Security and Convenience

By default, the link in envelope emails remains active for 7 days. After this period, your recipient will be prompted to request a new link, and no action is required from the sender. This time limit helps protect the contents of the email, reducing the risk if the email is accidentally forwarded, shared with unauthorised parties, or if the recipient’s inbox is compromised. This security measure ensures that access to sensitive documents is tightly controlled.

If needed, you can adjust the expiry window for these links. Simply go to Settings > Envelope Preferences, where you can choose from 7, 14, 28, 60, or 90 days. This allows you to set a timeframe that best suits your security and accessibility needs.
